"Blah Blah Blah......"

I figured since I am home for ANOTHER snow day I would catch up on the last month!  The title of this post is "Blah Blah Blah...this is a direct quote from the Bahl boys (we hear this line A LOT- from all of them).  Update on the boys

Andy:  In the last month he has been obsessed with puzzles --- he likes to make his mind work.  His reading has improved greatly and he loves to do double digit math!  The funniest story of the month happened during his lunch bunch group at school.  During lunch bunch they were playing pictionary and Andy was drawing his picture (which happened to be of a chicken) and one of his friends guessed that it was his mom...Andy could not stop laughing he thought it was so funny.

Kaden:  has continued his streak of deviant behavior...he likes to be the "bad boy" of the group and tries to influence his baby brother to do the same.  He also likes to to say bad words (poopy and shut up) and draw scary things in his beautiful book.  HOWEVER in school he is so well behaved I have to go watch just cause I don't believe it, and at home he can also be the sweetest kid helping both us and his baby brother out.  Kaden has started swimming lessons, this time he is swimming by himself for the first time.  He is doing very well and after the first lesson told us he was so good he would never have to wear a life jacket again.

Derrick-- oh my oh my...he is not quite three yet HOWEVER his attitude is all three.  We have never had too big of problems with two year olds in our house but threes have always been rough...and Derrick is def. acting three already.  We hear things like "It's not yours", "NOOOOOOOOOOO" and many other phrases talking back to us.  He has also started swimming lessons again (he gets to swim with dad).  Last summer he had a minor incident at the Redwood waterpark and has not liked going in water over his head since.  But after a couple swimming lessons we are back to having a great time in the water again!  Derrick is also spelling his name and when you ask how old he is-- he hold up two fingers and says this kind.  But he does remind us by putting up three fingers that he is almost that kind.  One of my favorite things is the way he says he loves me...each one of my kids has had a special way of telling me they love me:
Andy:  "I love you up to the moon, stars, clouds and sun"
Kaden::  "I love you to God and back"
Derrick: " I love you so so so so so so bunches".

Family:  The flu did make its way through our family this month (well the boys)..that was no fun.  We also took the boys bowling one night for a family fun night!  We had a great time...it was Derrick's first time and he had a blast.

Nate and I took our annual trip to Laughflin Nevada and had a very relaxing 4 days (Thanks Phil and Vicki).  This trip always gives Nate and I to reconnect!
